Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 14, 2026
Gimme ("we", "our", "us") operates the Gimme Chrome extension. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
Data We Collect
- Account Data: When you sign in with Google, we store your name and email address to identify your account. This is processed via Google OAuth and stored on our backend (Convex).
- Bookmark Data: We store the bookmarks, collections, and workspaces you create. This data is associated with your account and stored on our backend.
- Usage Analytics: We use Google Analytics and DataFast to collect anonymous usage data (page views, feature usage). This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
Data We Do NOT Collect
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising.
- We do not track your browsing history beyond the bookmarks you explicitly save.
- We do not serve ads.
- We do not collect payment information (Gimme is free).
Data Storage
All data is stored on Convex cloud infrastructure (convex.dev), hosted in the United States. Your bookmarks and account data are encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Data Sharing
We do not share your personal data with anyone except as required by law or to operate the service (our backend provider, Convex).
